Ray Scott Runnin’ the Roadways and Airways
Filed under : Ray Scott
As you can see from the photo above, our spies found RAY SCOTT drinkin’ a cold one and yapping on the phone while on his tour bus over the 4th of July holiday weekend in Oklahoma.
The album’s first single “Poor Folks” is trademark “RAY SCOTT.” It tells of drinkin’ beer from a styrofoam cooler, from an old truck bed, while fishing at the lake, listening to the radio and all the time wondering… “what the ‘Poor Folks’ are doing tonight?”
Listen for yourself:
Hell yeah. We couldn’t agree more RAY!
As “real country music,” this single and the entire album are perfect.
Don’t worry readers; we will keep spying on RAY a lot more as he runs the roads the rest of the year. SEND US YOUR PICS!!!

Ray Scott is one of the hardest-driving musicians in the business. He delivers solid cuts of outlaw country music by doing it HIS way. He has abandoned the ‘cookie-cutter’ pattern of the major label… GIGO (garbage in, garbage out..) and said NO THANK YOU to WBN, moving ahead with a dedicated team and thousands of fans that stand behind him in unwavering solidarity. If the major label ever wanted to show us they were getting back to caring about MUSIC, instead of marketing perfect ‘pretty’ people who all sing songs that sound recycled… they’d say they were sorry and put this guy in stadiums across the country. If they gave him a CMA award for best new artist… we fans might start to forgive them…. I said MIGHT.

I love his kinda music….It is in my CD player right now and lisen to it every morning (especially at camp between two mountains and a stream) when I am having my morning Java. He is the real deal and I can’t believe that he hasn’t hit superstardom yet. His music is for the working man, but of course there are fewer and fewer of them anymore. WAKE UP Country music!!!!!
I LOVE all of Ray’s music and have since day 1. I seen Ray almost 2 years ago at a small fair in PA and he was awesome to say the least. I am going to see him on July 25th and am hoping he makes a trip to upstate NY as well. I have both of his cd’s in my cd player in the house and the new cd in my car and all of his music on my IPod. I can’t get enough of Ray Scott’s music. It’s real and it’s COUNTRY. Thanks for the Country music Ray. Keep it coming and keep making the music your way.
WOW WOW WOW! Not just because he’s in my family tree, but when I heard him at the Nebraska State Fair in 2007 I was mesermized. He’s another Johnny Cash. Love his story telling style like Johnny, Kris and all the others who really tell the stories about their lives. Keep it up Ray!!!! I love ya for your music, nit just you are related.
I think your great . Not because you are connies’s cousin. i hope that you have alot of success. keep it up!
Again i want to say that its great. I like him almost as much as i like charlie pride but he sounds alot like johnny cash. keep up the good work!
Ray Jr. is the real deal. Like Bob Dylan, who sings his poetry, Ray hits the mark in your heart! His songs go way past the cookie cutter hits we hear on the radio. His rich, deep voice carries your soul and mind into the lives of the people who built this country and continue to sustain it. Don’t let commercial radio choose your music library..put both of Ray’s albums in yours. Understanding our “country no bull shit ways” will make you a better person . From the “heart of Dixie”
I’ve been waiting to see and hear more of Ray Scott. He has a beautifully deep voice. His music is real, in the soul, real country. Big entertainment with a heart is what we love.
