John Rich being “John Rich”

Our spies found JOHN RICH out honky-tonkin’ last night at Robert’s Western World (see photo above) and other honky tonks. There is nothing unusual about that. However, as of late, his arrogance seems to be at an all time high. Perhaps, he needs to stay home a few nights and get his bearings back.
Off-Air Arrogance: Last night we found JOHN with an entourage of Nashville-Star-sorts and hanger-on’s bar hopping on Broadway Ave. in Nashville. On at least two occasions last night, he was run out of tonks for trying to get an underage girl into the bars…. well after the mid-night hour. He also disrespectfully chooses to smoke cigars whenever he wants… even in non smoking tonks. We have seen him do this on many occasions. I guess he must think such “ordinary people” rules don’t apply to him.
On-Air Arrogance: As a judge he has to be critical. However he often comes across as being arrogant and condescending. For example, I was taken aback a few weeks ago on Nashville Star when he accused contestant COFFEY ANDERSON of not being “country enough” and that COFFEY’s cowboy hat doesn’t make him country. Then more shockingly he told the true Texas and small town country contestant that there was a show for pop singers called “American Idol”. What the fuck is he talking about??? Is he saying that American Idol stars CARRIE UNDERWOOD and KELLIE PICKLER are pop artists and not country artists? I was glad to see COFFEY not take JOHN’s shit and stood up for his “country credentials.” Maybe JOHN just has a guilty conscience.

For the most part when reporters do their job I read the posts and just silently keep agreeable and non-disagreeable comments to myself or only speak them openly amongst those that hold the same opinions as myself, but I want to make the rare comment in that I find this segment on John Rich very interesting and as far as his comments about Coffey Anderson, do we need to remind John Rich that it was JOHN RICH who has tried to shove Cowboy Troy as being a country artist down the throats of country listeners! Personally I find Coffey Anderson to be far more traditional country sounding than Cowboy Troy.
The rude remarks need to be kept to themself, just vote with a number whether they like the artist or not. They lose far more people from being so obnoxious to these new artist then they gain. They also lose themself fans from it.
They lack professionalism, manners and good judgement in how they treat others.

I agree…I am so sick of the arrogance and stupid comments of John Rich. He of all people has not earned the right to judge anyone in country music or least of all host a show “Gone Country.” He needs to take a good look at himself…since when has he ever been “country.” Just because you sing a song with the words “cowboy” and “horse” in it doesn’t make you country. Nashville needs to take their big cowboy boot and kick his ass out of town. With his space ship and alien “country music” videos he is a disgrace to country music. What a hypocrite…he is bringing pop and rock stars and wannabes to Nashville and trying to make money off them by making them believe they could “go country,” and then on Nashville Star, has the nerve to tell contestansts that they are not country enough. The only country thing about John Rich is that he is an “ASS”

Did he actually say out loud that he wanted someone to go on his bus for that? What did he do, go asking every girl there is she was willing?? Did any girl go with him?That’s one of the worse things I have heard about him.
I guess his wife wasn’t with him that day. I wonder how she feels about him cheating on her for the past 8 years. Who really believes he will be a faithful husband now? It’s so obnoxious of him to go around talking about his marriage and how she is irreplaceble, when everyone knows he has cheated on her for years. He is such a jerk.
I am like most who have left omments..I don’t like the man John Rich has become….BUT, the world he lived in as a child was more or less like us all Poor in 1 way or another, he rose above it and lives life to the fullest, he does respect his Dad who is a Preacher, and as far as a womanizer, well wpmen are men-nizers that hang in bars to be picked up….HE IS A HUMAN MAN, but as an @&&-hole, if his boot fits then he should wear it, I thought Nashville already had a major @&&-hole by the name of 2-by-2, oh well as long as they leave “Country Music’s Princess Idol out of the loop fans could care less about either….sad for he could be so better as a person if following the correct path….

How do you know him, Susan? I doubt if his own wife knows him. Anyone who thinks JR has been a good boy is delusional. Besides all the eyewitnesses who have seen him pick up women, as recent as a few months before his wedding, he has always bragged about all the women he has. He just never mentioned the secret girlfriend he had. Joan was the girl people didn’t know about. But he was having his fun while he kept her on the side. He has a reputation as a womanizer for a reason. And everyone knows.
And how do you know what is a lie and what’s true? JR is a violent, alcoholic, womanizer who won’t stay home with his wife or take her out with him. He’d rather get drunk every night than be with her. And she certainly hasn’t tried to keep him out of trouble.
He also takes off his wedding ring because it has too many diamonds, and he’s pretending to be “the common man” these days. I have no doubt he would take it off for other women too. The ring doesn’t represent his marriage. It represents his CAREER, and the fact that he’s rich enough to buy a ring like that. Otherwise he wouldn’t have bragged about it for weeks, then taken it off as soon as Shuttin Detroit Down was released.
He is such a hypocrite. I would believe anything I heard about JR. But I don’t believe naive fans who think he can do no wrong.

You people crack me up! No one really knows a person by watching articles or seeing someone once in a while. What he and his wife do or know is their private life and for them to deal with. You either like his music or not. If you don’t then don’t listen to him. He nor most people care what you think of him. Bashing people doesn’t get you anywhere in life.

Wow, I’m not sure how I stumbled upon this blog, but boy am I glad that I did! Hah! I have to say that I agree 100% with what Marie has said. Marie, you sound like you know John Rich alright, almost as well as I do – very personally.
When I first met John, Big & Rich was fairly new. After getting back stage at one of the concerts, I was thrilled to be invited onto the tour bus to hang out with him. He was charming, funny, fun and cute to boot! After our initial meeting, we kept in contact over the years and I was invited to “hang out” with him and his entourage whenever he came to town. I always knew it was only a casual fling with a famous country singer, so I didn’t allow myself to get emotionally attached… but I have to admit that his charming ways had me coming back to him even after he got married. I had always thought being the son of a preacher man, that he would end it all after he got married -but no folks- the man’s a womanizer and he’s been womanizing all over the country for all of these years! And believe me, all these years sure have changed him. He may have always been a womanizer, but his attitude has seriously gone to hell in a hand basket. I could not believe some of the things he was doing/saying the last time I was with him! And yes, that will forever remain THE LAST TIME (famous, good-looking, talented, singer/songwriter/performer, or not)! He’s not even worth MY time anymore, and believe me, I’m nobody!
