Jessica Simpson Finding Country Music Frighting?

Thank goodness JESSICA’s record is falling off Billboard’s top 50 Country Albums Chart!!! Sony BMG… what were you thinking??? Hopefully this terrible album will be enough to send her packing back to Hollywood. However, our spies caught up with her honky-tonkin’ at The Stage on Broadway last night in Nashville. Judging from her face in this picture, perhaps country music and tonkin’ isn’t much her thing.
Whats with a post like that? Whatever happened to the kindness from the country folk that you are noted for. This is just nasty. Give the girl a flippin break here. Geez. She is as entitled as anyone to move to Country just as many other crossover artists. Its not a freakin crime to do that.
Remember Country hospitality what your noted for.
Is this Southern hospitality? I personally find her refreshing and a lot of fun. Give the girl a break. There’s room for lot’s of different artist’s not just a slot to be filled by one. variety is a good thing in my book!
I agree too…I think she should be welcome to give it a shot. Jessica seems and acts real nice from the other press reports I have read over the years and catching bits of her previous reality show. Especially compared with other famous people who are stuck up. Her debut song wasn’t that bad…sort of catchy and good steel guitar. That is a bad photo…I’ve walked through the Stage before too when its crowded and if I was a girl I’d have the same look on my face from seeing some of the goofs in there. Jessica Simpson is a disgrace to Country music. In all the state fairs she has performed in, she has forgotten the lyrics in all of them. How professional is that? Not very, but thats Jessica Simpson for you. The same person who needed cue cards to remember Dolly Parton’s 9-5 song, and still managed to screw that up. She is just in the genre because its the ‘popular thing to do” Its a fad, and when this does not work for her, she will move on to another genre and claim “its what I always wanted to do, but my label held me back.”
Jessica Simpson’s first single, Come On Over, has completely died. Nobody is playing it on the radio and with so much hype she was getting, it barely cracked the Top 20. What does that tell you? It tells you people do no care for her anymore. This is not 1999, and she is no longer the sweet virginal girl who we all wanted to protect. The ditzy act of Newlyweds, which made her popular, has now backfired on her.
The only reason Jessica Simpson is still relevant in Hollywood is not because of any sort of talent. Its the same reason Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, etc. are still talked about- their personal lives. Jessica Simpson is not known for her singing or acting, but rather all the men she has slept with. We just learned that her current bed mate, a football player who quarterbacks the Dallas Cowboys, still calls Carrie Underwood-the best thing to have happened to country music. More on that later.
The people should just put Jessica Simpson out of her misery and don’t encourage her to continue what “she always wanted to do.” The faster she gets the clue that nobody is buying her fake country act, the sooner she will leave a genre that is filled with such phenomenal female legends like Faith Hill and Martina McBride and the younger talents of Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift. Jessica Simpson is making a mockery and will tarnish this genre, FACT. It does not help that Jessica Simpson went on radio and called country darling and mega star Carrie Underwood classless for telling a magazine that Jessica’s boyfriend-Tony Romo, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, still calls her. Do we blame Tony Romo? Of course not, Romo has to get some intelligent conversation from somewhere, and we all know its not coming from Jessica Simpson. But, if Jessica thought she was even going to make a dent in country music, she started wrong by publicity trashing Carrie Underwood. I will not even go into the REAL GIRLS EAT MEAT T-shirt. Hey, Jessica- REAL GIRLS KNOW TALENT- AND YOU’RE NOT IT.
Recently, she spoke about a song called, Remember That, written by women of real abuse- Victoria Banks and Rachel Proctor. I question why those ladies would ever want Jessica Simpson to touch their song. If you visit Rachel Proctor’s myspace, she has her own very version of this song-which she sings beautifully and we believe her struggles and root her and many women who suffer from this real abuse on. But when someone like Jessica Simpson, who is known for being such a media ho, gets a hold of this song, the message gets lost. Nobody believes Jessica Simpson has “stood in your shoes” as the end of the song mentions.
So to Jessica, quit kidding yourself and get out of this town, and while country fans welcome new artists with open arms, you are the exception. You will not receive a warm welcome because we know how you and your people work. Your fake act can be smelled all the way from Hollywood, and its time to take your dump elsewhere, far away from country music. I hear rap music needs a new artist. Maybe you will realize that was always your calling.
i think if you love country music, find your cowboy boots and start kicking these imposters OUT before it is too late. do you want the same thing to happen to country music tht happened to the genres of music these people came from? if they had sold CDs over there, Nashville would not be on their map. all they see is $ so they brush off their southern accents that they have worked so hard to lose and come to Nashville. but no matter, Jessica Simpson CANNOT SING. add her to the list of Julianne Hough, and Jewel (my cat sounds better).
WOW…you people are willing to embrace all the Hollywood produced American Idol Alums, but God-forbid that anyone else make it out of Hollywood and into Nashville. will some one please explain to me why this is? Yes Jessica can sing, i like her better than that screaming noise carrie underwood makes. she has no emotion in her voice, she just ups and downs the volume like Barbara Streisand. yet somehow they are both huge…huh.
