But she did. She made a commitment to take care of him. That's exactly what a wife does in a marriage, celebrity or not, even when the man is at fault. I didn't blame her for his addiction or behavior. I blame her for not intervening when he is obviously out of control. He needs help not just to grow up, and if he can't stop on his own, then shouldn't his wife step up and do what needs to be done? Like I said before, who else is responsible for helping him if not his wife? And of course it's not a child's fault if their parent is an alcoholic. I never said that. Joan married him KNOWING he is an alcoholic and has been for years. If she cared she would have done whatever was necessary to get him sober in the 8 years she's dated him.
